If you get the PPR email and think you can land before the birth of your baby, I don't think you have to inform them. At least that what the email says, doesn't it?

It's a pretty standard email everyone gets. Even I got exactly the same even though I don't have a wife, let alone expect a baby! ;)

It will ask! Read Sarayu's PPR email carefully. It says (I think the 3rd item in Step 1) if you're expecting to give birth prior to becoming a PR.

I think you still have to inform CPP-O. They will ask for a re-medical for your wife. Baby's info is needed for record only, if (s)he is born in Canada. Good luck.

I don't think so. The baby will be a Canadian! No one in CPP-O dares to ask for anything.
