that was harsh, I need your support

There you go again, making personal jibes! Refrain from calling any country third world. The new paradigm is developing world.

PR card pick up - what does it mean?

I wouldn't be too worried. I just had to go to their office. The officer was extremely nice, and after a few questions, she gave me my card. Good luck.

Just like you have the right to express your jaded opinions tirelessly, the others have their own rights to put down your air of negativity/superiority. You are quick to assail other people, but when the tables are turned, you get defensive and angry. Like someone said before, you bring the...

that was harsh, I need your support

It is nice to express divergent ones on a subject, but when one starts belaboring the same drivel over and over and over, it becomes insufferable!

enter Canada from US by road

Stop making your own stuff up. A rental car works, I have done it many times at Windsor. In your case, I would do a one way rental. You could also choose to cross the border on foot at the Niagara.

enter Canada from US by road

Just do a one way rental, and show your COPR to the immigration officer.

Going to US without a PR card - sent in urgent

Greyhound might be an issue. Anyway you could drive a one way rental? You could also attempt to walk across the bridge at the Niagara.

Anyways this is a pointless discussion, with too much negativity; maybe if a new immigrant tried really hard, they would probably get close to their ideal job! Ending this on an optimistic note :)

Second that Rahul; after all just make an example out of poor smelly corrupt India, and then try to rationalize it ! Then we are expected to grin and take it in the chin and make nothing out of it; like India is the epitome of being third world !

Touche! I love the country, the economy is in the doldrums though, just like I love the country of my birth with all its shortcomings! That is no grounds for a constant bashing of India, China or south asians.

Why must you make a dig at India everytime though? Sure it is corrupt, but there are other countries in the third world, just as corrupt or worse! The western media is obsessed with glorifying evrything unsavory about India. Slumdog millionaire anyone? Have you been slighted by an Indian?

Wouldn't you rather want the truth the whole truth instead of some cute fairy tale steeped in maple syrup? This is true even in healthcare where there is always a dearth of trained folks. The US / Australia are always looking to hire, while the employers in Canada, aren't even polite enough to...

How did you guys get along with separating from parents?

You will be fine. It gets better with each passing day. I understand where you are coming from though. It is almost like feeling guilty, leaving your folks behind, but you have to do, what is best for you. I know we affect other people's lives with our actions, but we have to ultimately make the...
