That is not correct. I applied in August 2013 with 3 months of work experience on a OCWP, a month on implied status, and 8 months on PGWP and I got my PR.

As I was told last Friday by the CBSA: since I am from a visa exempt country, I would be allowed to board the plane in Europe as a visitor to Canada. If you are from a non-visa exempt country, you must apply for a travel document if you intend to come back to Canada over a Canadian airport.

You do not have to show job offer for your BOWP, but your spouse can get their open work permit on the base of your skilled job.

I applied online with another application for my spouse. And all went well. Just make sure that you can show that your current job is skilled, include a cover letter, and a copy of your job contract/description.

I got my BOWP by mail 4 days before I have received the actual email.

I was in his situation till two days ago. And all went well. Canada's goal is not to get rid of people who studied here and who already established themselves in the society. My advice: just play with open cards and all is going to be fine.

DO NOT wait for your PGWP to expire! Do the following: send your BOWP application via Canada Post - it will take more time to arrive and to be processed. With your application, write an explanatory note - be honest and provide all the information they might need to understand your situation...

I went with 2 and all did go well.

I got my BOWP today for my wife and myself! I submitted the application on September 20th! I am very happy! And relaxed (did not have the AOR at time of applying)! My friends, never give up and I wish good luck to everyone else who is still waiting!

That is right. 63 days... Let's see how long it will take for the next steps!
