In Canada since January, Still no Job

Not surprised. I am in USA and not in Canada for that same reason. This is not to discourage anyone, but Canada is a tough place to get a good paying job. If you're a high skilled immigrant USA is much better than Canada although it takes time to get a green card. Canada will give you permanent...

    Difficulties in Canada

People wanting to move to canada from US or UK or any other country should read this article even though it is old and then make a decision. http://www.macleans.ca/economy/business/land-of-misfortune/

    Difficulties in Canada

There was a website called www.notcanada.com 5 years back, which I had seen and it gave a lot of reviews/interviews by people who said Canada is not a good place to work for skilled immigrants and has only low skilled positions open/available. Looks like the Canadian govt. shut it down as it was...

AINP stopped accepting applications under US-Visa Category and Family Stream

First they screwed IT on H-1B, now they screwed the entire H-1B and family program. Doesn't surprise me given their flipflop last time. Who knows what is next in line?

H1B - Alberta PNP File Number / Certificate Timeline

Canada immigration is surely BS, no doubt about it and the less said about it the better. US immigration is still better than canadian immigration although the timelines are stretched to the maximum limit.

I don't blame anybody except AINP because they sold a bill of goods which never existed. If they advertise that they need skilled workers they should be able to keep their promise and give nominations or reject them based on the candidate's qualifications. But denying people just based on the...

I had put a link which highlighted negative aspects which was real and from people who migrated to Canada and it also was removed. Looks like they don't want negative publicity about their country even if it's true.

Guys, It's all over for IT folks including myself. I got this letter too that they're closing my file.I sometimes feel that it's good that we didn't go to Alberta. If they don't have IT jobs, we would have ended up driving a taxi or working at Mc Donalds or Tim Hortons for 5-6 cad. Remember...

H1B - Alberta PNP File Number / Certificate Timeline

I have applied in the same timeframe as you and if AINP is doing this to applicants, then it seems to be a very unreliable program and going to end soon for IT people. I'm pretty sure that it is very difficult to get IT jobs in Alberta, the way the situation is right now. We better look for...

Calling will not change their mind about issuing nominations, they'll only issue nominations if they want to. And until the economy gets better I'm pretty sure there'll be no nominations.
