Do some people trick the 6-month stay limit on visitor visas?

I have heard stories of people who come to Canada with visitor visas having the multiple-entry privilege and, shortly before the 6-month maximum duration is reached, they just cross the border to the US and come back to start day one of a fresh new stay. Is that considered a legitimate way of...

Applying for Canadian passports, having some confusions

Finally, 3 new passports are on the way to me. They processed my applications in Victoria, BC, even though I had sent the apps to Gatineau, QC. They called me about the my expired driving license which in fact is still valid because the Ontario Gov't indefinitely extended the validity. So, I had...

Hi. I know the Ontario Govt announced that expired, or soon-to-expire, licenses would still continue to work for "some time". Nevertheless, I have a rather peculiar situation. Details: -- My G2 license will expire in December 2020. -- I failed my G test twice and was scheduled for the 3rd...

    March - 2019 Citizenship Applications

Even those of us who luckily got through it at the last moment and were allowed to take the oath, are stuck now because the passport service is suspended. But, personally, I do not mind, because, given the reality of Corona, even if miraculously I am given a passport now I will not be willing to...

Yes, it was "in process" for my daughter but DM for my wife and myself. But when we came back home after the oath ceremony, ecas for all 3 of us became "Completed". The final line was "You became a Canadian citizen on March 11, 2020."

Thanks! In our session, there were 80-90 ppl. When we were coming out of the oath room, they were already preparing that room for another batch of people. I think several oath sessions take place on a given day. There were also some people waiting on the same floor for the test.

Taken the oath today (March 11) and got all our certificates in hand at the Scarborough centre. The mission has ended. Took a picture of our PR cards beforehand as a souvenir since we would have to return them at the ceremony. I don't know... I just felt like doing it because those cards...

    April 2019 applications

Yes, as !Aman! said, since printed letters with oath dates and forms were handed out to us in order to appear for the oath the next day, waiting for oath letters by email would not be necessary. We already know that the decision was made. Ecas is likely to change and reflect it tomorrow.

Is there enough parking space at the Scarborough centre? I do not want to stress myself out looking for a parking slot shortly before the test. I would rather commute on a bus or subway.
