Thread for Outland LONDON, UK Applications!

Since sending my last message the postman has delivered my husband and daughter's COPR! We're so happy and hugely relieved! :D

Thread for Outland LONDON, UK Applications!

I've just logged in to ECAS to see 'Decision Made'! :D How safe is it to assume that this is a positive decision? I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't be but I guess you can never be sure can you? Also, how long does it normally take for the COPR email or letter to arrive (we're in...

Thread for Outland LONDON, UK Applications!

That happened to us as well. The original form had requested 10 years (or since the age of 18, whichever is sooner) of personal history, but we were asked to provide my husband's history since the age of 18. Maybe the form was updated since our applications were submitted? We sent the details...

Thread for Outland LONDON, UK Applications!

Hi everyone :), I'm sponsoring my husband and daughter from London. We received our sponsorship approval email on the 13th December, then on the 10th April my husband was asked to provide some additional personal history information which we sent off the next day. ECAS changed to 'In process'...

Congratulations on receiving your COPR! :D It sounds like we're probably a month or so behind you. Fingers crossed we don't have much longer to wait!

ECAS now says that our application is in process and that our medical results have been received. Does anyone know roughly how long it normally takes from this point? Thanks :)

October 2012 Applicants! Here's our thread!

Bit of an update from us. My husband received an email from London yesterday asking for some additional information about his personal history, so at least they are working on our application now! The email said to allow four months for them to look at the additional information but I'm hoping...

October 2012 Applicants! Here's our thread!

Hi, I had the sponsorship approval letter on 13th Dec which said our file had been transferred to London but like you, nothing has changed since then on ECAS other than decision made for sponsorship. I'm not sure what to expect though between now and COPR which we're not expecting to get for a...

October 2012 Applicants! Here's our thread!

I received my sponsorship approval email on the 12th December, but nothing from London yet to say they have received our application. Do they always send an AOR and if so, how long does it normally take? Our ecas just says 'decision made' for sponsorship and 'application received' for permanent...

Actually I've just noticed it says on the email my husband's name 'and family (if applicable)', so I assume that covers our daughter.

October 2012 Applicants! Here's our thread!

I have received my sponsorship approval today by email! ;D Is anyone else sponsoring a spouse and dependent child? The reason I ask is that the email and ECAS only mention my husband and not our daughter. Is that what normally happens?

Thanks. Maybe it depends on which country you apply from? My Mum applied from the UK earlier this year and had her sponsorship approval by email.

Neither have I Katie. :( It would be nice to have had some kind of acknowledgement at least by now. ECAS still isn't working for me. It says on the CIC website to contact them if you haven't received anything within the given processing time (32 days at the moment), but then only gives a phone...

Thanks Katie, I did try it this morning but I'll have a go this evening. I don't have a UCI yet unfortunately. I just need to be a bit more patient I guess!

Hi Katie, what did you use as your identification type? I haven't had any correspondence at all from them, so tried my payment receipt number but it says they are unable to identify me using the information provided. I think your application was received just a couple of days before ours so I...

October 2012 Applicants! Here's our thread!

Hi Ross, if it's any reassurance, my mum applied to sponsor my step-dad (American) in March this year outland from London. She didn't have a Canadian tax document because she left Canada when she was a child. They didn't have any problems with stage 1 approval. I'm also applying from London to...

October 2012 Applicants! Here's our thread!

Hi, The CIC website says 8 months at the moment for London. I hope it is closer to 160 days though, that sounds much better. :) http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/fc-spouses.asp I'm the same as you Ross, I'm more nervous about stage 1 than stage 2. At least the waiting time...
