    passport request

Congrats, Abedelia! You finally got it! Like others have said, I don't think it will take the whole 30 days. By the way, my husband got his request to send his passport too. His is thru the LA office. They've had it for 4 business days now and we are anxiously awaiting its return so we can...

File transfer from Buffalo to a satellite office (NYC, Seattle, LA, Detroit)

Yeah, I am going thru Quebec so it does take a bit longer. I wouldn't be surprised if you got an email or phone call late next week. We are fedexing my husband's passport tomorrow! Let's see how long it will take to get it back. Hopefully they won't lose it :P

File transfer from Buffalo to a satellite office (NYC, Seattle, LA, Detroit)

Don't worry giggles, I'm sure once you send the info it will be quick for the PPR. If you look at our timelines, you're actually ahead of us in terms of when we applied. Have you sent them the info they wanted yet? I think we are the only 2 on this thread that had their files tranferred to LA.

Hello, just wanted to share that we received a phone call today from an IO at the LA office to confirm my husband's email address. They are asking for his passport!!! A few minutes later he received the email. ;D My husband's file was transferred to the LA office from Buffalo on August 4th so...

    Thread for MARCH 2010 applicants!

Thanks, Plumosa. Yeah, it was odd that they called first to check the email address. Probably just an LA thing. Interestingly we never got anything saying that the interview was waived or that the medicals were received. This phone call is the first thing since the email my husband received on...

    Thread for MARCH 2010 applicants!

Hi Plumosa, We did indeed select LA as our interview location. I think that is how they choose where to send the file when they decide to send it to another office. We still haven't heard anything since the email about my husband's file being sent to LA. We changed our address at the Buffalo...

File transfer from Buffalo to a satellite office (NYC, Seattle, LA, Detroit)

Hi all, My husband just received an email today from Buffalo stating that his application has been transferred to LA as well. I hope this means we can still pick up the Visa in Buffalo since we live in Quebec now :-\ I hope it doesn't take 90 days! This would mean my husband would have to...

    Thread for outland Buffalo applicants!

To change the address we used the B# with the sticker thingy stuck to the form provided (there was a form inside the letter from Buffalo for change of address purposes). They state that they do not acknowledge receipt for any address changes so we just mailed it in and will have to trust that...

    Thread for MARCH 2010 applicants!

Plumosa, You're about 2 days behind us. We are also in Quebec. Today my husband received an email from Buffalo that his file was transferred to the Los Angeles office to "expedite the process". I hope this means we will get an answer soon! We are also lucky that we are together here in Canada...

Hey all, Just wanted to give a quick update. We made it across the border last week and they gave my husband an 1 year Visitor Record in this passport. Woo hoo! These guys at the border crossing (Derby Line, VT) were super nice and made us feel extremely at ease. We were worried for nothing...

    Thread for Febuary applications

Hi Dralon, Congrats on getting the CSQ! How long did it take Quebec (MICC) to charge your credit card after they received your paperwork? They received mine 10 days ago but my credit card is still not charged :P

    Thread for MARCH 2010 applicants!

Quebec will send the CSQ to your husband if they approve his sponsorship. They will then forward their decision to the visa office that is processing your application. The visa office will then continue with the processing of your case. Hope that helps!

    Thread for MARCH 2010 applicants!

in the Quebec Sponsorship Guide I read that they will take up to 20 business days to process the application for CSQ but looking at other's time lines, I've seen that some have received it 2-3 weeks after applying.

    Thread for MARCH 2010 applicants!

Oh no! I thought for sure you'd be able to logon by now. I have a feeling that there may be a typo in some of your information on their end so that when you try to log on to ecas, it doesn't recognize your husband's name or DOB. Grrr...I can imagine how frustrated you must feel. However, if...

Congrats, Dralon. That was fast! That sucks about the error on your name. I wonder about people doing their jobs. I mean really? Is it that difficult to double check a name or other data entry? Makes me sooooooooo frustrated! ;-)
