    Tax for mid year entry to canada

    I came in sept 2011 as a PR and got a job in Oct 2011. My question is my income tax will be calculated on 4 months or 12 months period. Since first 10k is not taxable at federal level, so I am entitle to have it all or it would be 3-4k on the basis of my 4 months stay.

    I am in Austin TX, don't I need any kind of VISA to enter canada. Are you saying my US license would be sufficient to enter canda?

    My employer is not willing to wait till end of july (when I am expecting my passport back from consulate)... Is there any other way I can go to LA and they can hand over my passport (after stamping)
