Yes, I did send my FBI certificate along with the application. And it was valid at the time. Hence the request for an 'Updated' FBI certificate.

By 'routinely', I meant that in addition to notifying CIC of my change in address, that I may also Required to notify that I am no more on H1B status in the US but on a work permit in Alberta.
