    That's just the number the calculator gave me, considering the time I was in Canada before I got PR. I believe that's where I put in my application. Looking at the spreadsheet it doesn't seem uncommon.

    acknowledgement of receipt is taking about 45 from the day they received your application. check the spreadsheet for January 2014 applicants's forum. I *think* ur ielts should be fine as long as they are less than 2 years old when u submitted ur documents.

    yeah, got a day pass, which was like $17 each way. I think they are open 24/7. When u get off the bus, get off at 420 and stanley (2nd last stop). otherwise the main station is bit further away from rainbow bridge.

    i took the go train/bus from union station and drops u off near clifton hill (sort of). once i arrived to rainbow bridge, i walked on the pedestrian side of the bridge. the walk was about 7 mins. nice view of the falls :)

    i did my landing in rainbow bridge, niagara falls. i didnt have us visa either, and u dont need one. u can cross to the us side using the pedestrian bridge - takes about 7 min walk. they give you a paper to send you back to the canadian side.
