    Permanent Resident Kit?

I'm not sure but I think that may be part of the old system (now you send in both applications at once). Everything you needed to send in for the sponsorship and permanent residence application would have been on the website.

    Is this possible?

Ditto what Frolic said. You have to take whether he should actually be included on your current application into account (i.e. is he already your common law partner etc).

Posting application and receiving notification..first stage

Ours took about 3 weeks from the time they approved sponsorship to the time we saw our application in London on e-cas.

    Is this possible?

He did visit actually (for the holidays) just after the PR application went to London. We had applied for his TRV (he's South African) before we actually submitted our sponsorship application as you have to book Christmas flights early if you don't want to sell a kidney. At the airport, they...

    Is it okay to...?

I believe it's designated medical practitioner or something along those lines. When hubby went for his medical, they emailed him a courier tracking number so he could check it had been delivered. You may be able to do the same. From what I understand, when your application is being processed...

    Is it okay to...?

It took over a month for Medicals Recieved to pop up in e-cas for us. Sometimes it doesn't come up at all. It also took at least 3 weeks for e-cas to show our file was being processed in London. You're still OK :) Did the DMP give you a tracking number for your medicals? You could always use...

    Is this possible?

I think it's about 30 days according to CIC for new PR cards (it's on the processing times page). You can use your brother's address if that's where you'll be staying. My advice is to ask the britishexpats folks as they would more than likely have some experience with these questions. Some...

    Is this possible?

I'd pop over to the britishexpats.com folks as they know quite a bit about going to and from Canada. I'll give the questions a go anyhow. As Brits, you don't need a visa to visit Canada for less than six months so that helps. 1) I am not sure about this, but I think I have read about people...

Posting application and receiving notification..first stage

For those going through London though, the PR applicant doesn't often get an AOR. You can see the progess of the PR application using the sponsor's ecas account, you don't have to wait for the PR applicant's file number etc.

Posting application and receiving notification..first stage

Nope. We did it ourselves. We don't have a very complicated case so we didn't feel we needed a lawyer.

Posting application and receiving notification..first stage

You can see our whole process on trackitt. London started processing Dec 4th 08. Decision Made appeared on e-cas Feb 9th 09 and PPR letter received Feb 12th 09. By the time we get the visa back next Thursday (March 5th) it will be 3 months and 1 day of processing in London. Which I guess fits...

London too. Hubby is picking up his visa next week and flying over on the 23rd of March.

Once they started processing the sponsorship ours was done in a day too. Which visa office are you going through Welshiess?

London Office?... Sponsorship/Permanent Residence applications ok'd in Toronto.

See, that makes much more sense now :) Silly me... There's only one CIC website where you can see information on your file (the e-cas thingy). You're looking in the right place :)

Posting application and receiving notification..first stage

Yup, e-Client Application System or some other such nonsense. The online thingy. Once you appear on it, you'll be able to see the status of the sponsorship application. When the permanent residence application starts processing, you'll also be able to see that and the PR applicant will be able...

We only saw our file on e-cas once the sponsorship was approved (took just over a month). Didn't hear anything before that.

London Office?... Sponsorship/Permanent Residence applications ok'd in Toronto.

Re: London Office?... Sponsorship/Permanent Residence applications ok'd in Toron Not sure what information you mean. If you mean my information, then it is partially from CIC, partially from my own experience, and also from the experiences of a number of others going through the same office...

Help Please! Conjugal Relationship (Cdn citizen and South African Citizen)

I recommend you read OP 2 here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/index.asp Specifically check out pages 31-34. Also, you may want to pop over to roadtocanada.com and look at the Family Class forum. There are folks there with some experience with conjugal applications and...

Help Please! Conjugal Relationship (Cdn citizen and South African Citizen)

I totally understand how difficult the distance between SA and Canada is as hubby and I are both originally from there (I'm now Canadian and he lives in the UK). As for the conjugal issue, I'm not very familiar with that route, but I understand it's only really for people who cannot marry or...

London Office?... Sponsorship/Permanent Residence applications ok'd in Toronto.

Slight clarification based on RobsLuv's post. London doesn't seem to do a lot of interviews based on the applications I've been tracking through. It may have something to do with the location (i.e. some offices experience higher numbers of MOC applications etc). Sorry, I should have been clearer...
