PR RENEWAL WHILE OUTSIDE CANADA WITH CANADIAN SPOUSE

I have submitted bank statements and tax return statements to prove we live together. Have also had employer provide statements about employment dates (not sure if this actually helps).

Dual citizen (USA / Canada), succefully sponsored wife and kids (USA citizens), about to do soft landing

I got PR through the CEC class. It was a few years after my landing that I moved down to the US. I checked application processing times and I'm now over the quoted 78 days for processing, and my online application just says "submitted" still.

Dual citizen (USA / Canada), succefully sponsored wife and kids (USA citizens), about to do soft landing

I landed in 2012. I've been living in the States for the last few years with my Canadian spouse. My card has expired twice, so I've applied for PRTD twice. Both times they've only issued 1-year multi-entry PRTD. The first time I applied for PR renewal, it was fine. Second time (last year), I've...

PR Renewal online - return reason "Incomplete application".

Well this is disappointing... I had to resubmit my online application on Sep 11, 2023 (originally submitted on July 4, 2023), and I have yet to see any updates to my application.

Dual citizen (USA / Canada), succefully sponsored wife and kids (USA citizens), about to do soft landing

I know they say they do grant multi-year, but they only gave me 1 year even tho my passport was valid for over 2 years.

Dual citizen (USA / Canada), succefully sponsored wife and kids (USA citizens), about to do soft landing

    1) No, you do not need to accompany your wife and kids. They should have all the paperwork they need to do the landing. Same with the SIN card. 3) I have received 2 multi-entry PRTDs ,but they only grant it for 1 year at a time... lame. I know. 5) Best to ask an accountant, but I'm pretty sure...

Minor's PR card renewal taking longer than other family members

No, the standard processing time is estimated to be 90 days right now. So you still have another month before your son's PR renewal can be "questionable"

Minor's PR card renewal taking longer than other family members

No help, but I applied early July 2023 through the portal, and I didn't get a response until September. So I think you were just lucky to get the first three so quickly.

    PRs with Nexus

I had no issues crossing the border with my Nexus. I have been asked if I'll be moving back, etc. Also have had the US officer question my ability to be in US & Canada. But legally, you're allowed to keep your Canadian status as long as you live abroad with a Canadian PR. I told him that and he...

    Nexus Card

I'm taking that you're American (based on your profile image). You just need to update your Canadian status + new address once those take place. I think you can either do it in the portal or let them know when you attend your interview. As for wait time, yes they've been super delayed since...

Can I use my US passport to enter Canada

That's the part that kills me. I've submitted my renewal application back in July, then got a notice to update my photo in September, and now my application is now back of the line again. If I'm lucky, maybe they'll process my application in November and I can pick it up my card before my PRTD...

PR Card renewal (Residency obligation query)

You need to submit every single page of your passport... And I am shocked you guys were seeing <80 days for processing times. I applied online early July and it was 92days. And now it's at 88 days... (I had to resubmit my application due to my photograph in September, and I'm guessing my...

Can I use my US passport to enter Canada

I do see this: Permanent residents of Canada who are members of the NEXUS or FAST programs must travel with a passport and proof of permanent residence, and may be asked to present these documents to the officer upon arrival at the border. I do have Nexus and a US passport. The proof of...

Can I use my US passport to enter Canada

My PR card is expired. I have a PRTD that expires beginning of December. I submitted an online application to renew my card in July. I have not received any acknowledgement and the online portal has no update. With my US Passport, I know I can board my flight to Canada, but what about going...

US green card and Canadian PR at the same time

You still have PR status even if your card expires. 1) I've traveled back and forth at least 3 times. 2) I was only questioned once, and they asked me when we would move back to Canada. 3) You have to apply for a travel document if your PR card expires, in order to travel by commercial...

PR card expiry/renewal (yes, that old question...)

Hi Confused in Toronto - I am a PR married to a Canadian citizen. We both live in the US as my hubby has a job here. When I applied for my PRTD to enter the country earlier this year, the CIC agent told me that once I'm in Canada that I should submit my application. So I think you're okay. =)...

Email from CIC that PR card renewal needs secondary review

Hi all - just wondering if everyone sends in all the copied pages of their passport? On the Instruction Guide, it says to just send in the identification page, so I only sent in the one page. I provided proof that I met the residency requirements and included information about living with my...
