So, in 2014, I applied for and obtained a supervisa for my mother. She was given 2 years and when the time can around, we applied for an extension, which we got in the mail today... But instead of an extension on her supervisa, they issued a regular 6 month visitor visa (case 10 vs a case 06)...

I was sent my DM via email and my landing appointment was scheduled via phone. It took about a month from when I got the email to get the phone call, so just be patient. :)

What do you need to add me to it? I applied July 2012, received AIP January 2013, had medicals done November 2013, received DM February 2014, landed on April 11th and got my PR card July 2nd. I am from Arizona and I landed in Saskatoon.

They seem to make so many seemingly avoidable mistakes.... Are you originally from the U.S.? How long is your trip supposed to be? You could take your PR form with you as proof of residency. I mean, hell, I made a trip back to the U.S. for two weeks long before I got PR status and didn't have...

Wouldn't he have to leave Canada once his application finishes processing for his "Landing" if he applies "Outside Canada"? And correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it also easier to stay in Canada while your application processes if you apply from "Inside"?

I can't believe that people are still waiting after 2 years. It's beyond ridiculous that people that applied several months or even a year after 2012 applicants are getting their DMs while so many are still waiting. I don't think that it should be a big issue, to be honest... I mean, I suppose it's always a bit of a risk but as long as you do everything that you can to prepare for anything that might come up, it should be fine. I'd also take the wedding invitation if you have one, to show Canada border...
