    Reapplying is an option but not the best for us especially now and after CIC announced that backlog will be cleared by end of this year. The other options I beleive are just wait or go for mandamus and the second is the best if the person can afford it.

    I heard the same about the cost but in other posts saying it is about 6 to 7 months. I hope it is 2 months only. Thanks Canadiandesi2006 for sharing. Hope to get more info about this topic.

    @ djoli & @ jabuela .... I am doing the same and contacting the MP more often although I know they cannot do much but just to let them know about CIC !!! I may send letters to CIC St. Clair directly too.

    I don't know how much slower CIC can reach more it is now ....these applications are more than 36 months!!! Just maintaining the frustration!

    I see transferring RQs files to local offices are positive step and should be close to final decision and schedule the Oath!

    It actually depends on the emergency situation to replay! As I know, there is list of criteria that CIC considers them as Emergency. If your case is not matching one Of them, they will not replay especially OLD applications!

    Dears, According to CIC website updated Nov 2014, there are 82,000 applications with over 25 months in process and represent 33% of the total applications. It is not clear how many are 36+ months but I guess they are not many!! The point is why CIC are delaying old applications and completing...

    The problem with withdrawal is the new application could be triggered for a new RQ!!! Then waiting again!! It is not 100% but there is no confirmation the new application will be processed in short period.
