I applied after getting nominated, I sent the application using lawyer to CIC Buffalo in June 2010. I received request for documents in Aug 2010. I have no updates since then, is it normal? What is the current trend?

I can't agree more...Looks AINP is more lottery now, rather than FIFO system.

Application reached Alberta date? 19-Feb-2009 NOC? 2171 File number? Not Received Pre-Assesment complete? Y I have sent email enquiring status of my application(as I did not get file number), hoping to hear back. Does anyone know if they do respond to email queries.

Folks, I had applied through old process in Dec and after pre-assement was completed in Jan, I had filed my application in Feb. I have not received any file number yet. Should I email them for aplication status? Thanks.

I am also in the same boat as you are. Applied in first week of December through a Lawyer. Please post if you find anything, I will if I find anything. Its over a month, hopefully will hear something this month.
