I have heard many people doing that,people just update the mailing address after medicals or sending application to CIC and move to home country and wait for passport request. I guess the only requierment was 1 year on h1b to get nomination.After that you should be pretty much free to move...

See you had options here you could have moved out of apartment and then you could have changed mailing address with buffalo cic,it hardly takes a week to do so. "What they do it is to heat the apartment to 120 degree. " --->I'm surprised here..you wooded apartment will burn out at 120 degrees..

It may would have been little above 3 months validity period.

may be since your address is in canada thats why they are asking you about it.

I guess no,you have to go to buffalo for passport stamping.Even I'm not in USA anymore ,I'll rather have my representative fly to usa to do it for me.I think they are processing the medicals reached ottawa in june currently.

But I'm sure CIC quota will not finish, at least people who have got file numbers should be safe.

I guess they are currently processing mid July medicals ..mine reached starting 4th aug.

I think it is pretty much legal to send passport through someone else with authority letter..no big deal
