My brother applied for Visitor visa yesterday at vfs chandigarh. This evening i checked his tracking number and it says that the application has been sent to new delhi. is it normal for visitor visa application to go from chandigarh to delhi.

I am not sure what website you are looking at but land borders do not process immigration 24/7. They are open 24/7 but DO NOT process immigration 24/7. Maybe the larger borders do it but I have never seen it. My buddy went to Carway border at 10pm at got yelled at by the officer for coming too...

Most offices are open 24/7 but they do not process immigration activities 24 hrs. For example the closest border to me (Carway) does immigration from 7am to 11pm 7 days a week

It will keep on saying BG in progress until the visa is stamped on your passport. So you will see "approved" couple days before recieving your passport

Thats not true. Your intent should be to stay in the province that nominated you. You could be nominated by alberta but after you get your copr you could go for a drive to seatte and land at vancouver border. All they are looking for is your intent for settling not touring a province
