Hello all, Just got some great news today :D My wife got her PPR via email today :D Already have the flights booked to go to Singapore to submit passport in person for next week. Finally know the reason why we had to wait so long after they had received my wife's medical results too. It was...

Hey guys, Just saw something from the CBC that seems to be right down our alleys. http://www.cbc.ca/news/yourcommunity/2012/10/share-your-immigration-stories-with-us.html Spread the word! : )

Yeah, I guess it totally depends on the officer handling the file unfortunately. I hope you're right about the PPR coming soon. Thanks for the kind words : )

yeah really. When my wife got her re-med request she got all of those requested except for passport. I got in contact with my MP about a month after they had received the medical results and everything else (2 months ago now), she told me that they were currently "verifying" the documents (med...

I'm kind of in the same boat as you right now too. They requested my wife to redo the medical and police clearance back in May and they received the results and everything June 1st. Haven't heard back from them since either. My wife's file has been In Process since March.

Yes she is from Thailand. She got the request to redo medical along with submitting new passport type photos, new police certificate and fingerprints back in May. After completing the medical it only took a little over 2 weeks to show that her medical results had been received in ECAS. I did...

Congrats on the good news : ) Lately it seems that sending the passport to Singapore via mail or through local embassy is taking much longer than not too long ago and I don't see it getting any faster. I don't think that if your wife submitted her passport in person in Singapore that she would...

Congratulations : ) I wish my wife had the same wait 2 weeks then submit passport deal as we have now been waiting 3 months since they asked her to redo medical and still have not received passport request. You said you received this request via registered mail right? When was the letter dated...

No worries. My wife had to redo her medical about 2 months ago and her results were sent to the Philippines as well. This change has just recently come into effect due to budget cuts (I think) and took effect May 1st. The doctor who was responsible for my wife's medical informed us of this when...

Gah, it's been a whole month now since Singapore had updated our ECAS to show they received my wife's redone medical results. How much longer must this process take? What are they waiting for? ???

Yes, and we would be submitting my wife's passport, not mine. We would be going together. So I as well would have my passport with me at all times. Thanks for your concern though

Well, that would be purpose of actually dropping it off in person, so it wouldn't take a month to get the visa stamped. Another member on this forum (bangkokcanuk) submitted his wife's passport this way and it only took 3 business days before they got it back. So knowing that we would obviously...

@rakibcsebuet, silenthill_ca and anyone else who has already submitted passport. In the letter requesting passport, did they mention any option to submit the passport in person at their office? My wife's ECAS has shown medical results have been received for nearly 3 weeks now and we are...

Nope, they didn't bother to use registered mail for us, just normal mail. And yes we received the request on May 14th and the letter was dated May 8th. And our city is Bangkok. We are one of the few in this thread NOT from Bangladesh lol.
