I am starting to look for flights for my wife. I don't want to jump the gun but I want to know what is the easiest way to get to Canada WITHOUT going through the US. My wife would need an additional transit visa C-typle. I have looked but the amount of traveling is crazy or the price is out of...

I feel your frustration. SVO think people are made of money that we have no other responsibilities other than to visit our wives at a frequency they determine appropriate. Most people work for a living. Work usually pays for everything. They are government people for them money is no object...

@ MykeMyke It all depends if you have interview or not. If you have interview the waiting time is about 30 months. If you don't have interview it can be a short as 16 months or less. HOwever there is a visa officer strike that backlogs everything.

@CanadaVietnam You are 8 years older than your wife. I am 17 years older than my wife. My wife is 35 and I am 52. You said that the VO had some concerns with your age difference. Wow! Did they express what their concerns were or was it a statement to make you talk. Did you ask what their...

Retraction and correction In the good name of the US ambassador to Vietnam it was not his name that circulated with respect to green card fraud. It was an embassy councillor arrested last Friday for bribery and conspiracy to commit visa fraud.

The situation with the slowdown and rotating strike doesn't appear to be any closer to being resolved. I am just wondering out loud how long this will continue. The only thing I can say is not to hold the applicant hostage. The FSO right to strike against their employer is one thing. This...
