You have to show some sort of proof that you are planning to re-settle back in Canada. As far as what kind of proof to use for doing that I am unsure.

I had that same confusion when i first saw that part of the application. I found later in one of the guides that they consider family to be just as jomar stated, spouse and dependents.

You can start the paperwork whenever you want. Its best to get a head start on it as like the rest of us you'll probably have alot of questions. As far as turning in the paperwork doing common-law I would assume you would have to wait until you actually meet the requirements of the 1 year...

From what I hear thats not a problem at all. Thats how most people are able to apply as common law because they were together in another country on a different type of visa. The task would be proving that he is getting the student/tourist visa for just that, not to be with significant other.

Did you tell the DMP that you are doing family class sponsorship? For some forms of immigration the medical is not done until requested so maybe they are confused but you are supposed to have done before hand. Hopefully someone on here has experience with Scotland DMPs.

When Mississauga is done processing the sponsor part of the ap they will send it off to London so assuming they don't lose it somewhere in the process they should send it with all your other paperwork to London 4 u.

He doesnt have access to a printer. I simply sent a fax to Buffalo requesting a application when i began my process and when i told him to do the same they are telling him that they don't do that. He had his spouse call the line but I guess it only gave option of family application, wasnt sure...
