    Are citizenship interviews recorded?

My interview was barely three minutes. There was only one question regarding my visitor record, and why I didn't use all those accumulated half days towards my 1095 days like we used to before that section of C-24 was in effect. I told him that I was still maintaining my residence in Michigan at...

Scarborough office / timeline after test

No one asked me to bring my SIN card, and I can't find that information anywhere on the CIC website, regarding documents to bring to the oath ceremony. You'll need all of your original immigration documents, plus two pieces of identification, (driver's licence, health card, etc....) and all...

Scarborough office / timeline after test

I'm not getting an oath letter in the mail, but it bears no effect in my specific case. The Scarborough CIC office tried getting a hold of me last Thursday, because they wanted to know if I wished to have the oath ceremony either in Scarborough, or in Sault Ste. Marie, and I missed that call...

    JAN 2015 Citizenship Applicants

I just figured out why the CIC Scarborough office called me the other day. They called me again today, and the reason why they called in the first place, was because they wanted to offer me a choice between having the oath ceremony down in Scarborough, or up here in Sault Ste. Marie, as the...

IT might be time to apply for an ATIP to see what's going on with your file. Seems very strange that you've had your test on March 12th, and have been waiting ever since.

Scarborough office / timeline after test

I called up to the CIC office as I still haven't received my oath letter yet, and it was a pretty good thing that I did. I have to go back down to Scarborough. The same place where I took my citizenship test is the same place where I will take the oath. It's going to be another nine hour drive...

    JAN 2015 Citizenship Applicants

I haven't received my oath letter yet, but after talking with the CIC agent over the phone, I just learned that my citizenship ceremony will be happening at the same place where I had my citizenship test. In Scarborough. Time for me to start making the necessary hotel and travel arrangements.

I would call the CIC call centre if I were you. The number is: 1-888-242-2100. You should definitely have received your test invite letter by now. What you should do, is call the call centre, (Their hours are 8-4 Monday thru Friday.) speak to an agent, let them know of the situation, and to...

    A Canadian is a Canadian is a Canadian? I don't think so...

I can understand, and appreciate the sentiment, that those who commit such acts that demonstrate a severe act of disloyalty to a country, ought to have their citizenships stripped. But then, it is only fair that those with no other citizenship should have their citizenships stripped, too. As to...

    A Canadian is a Canadian is a Canadian? I don't think so...

To my mind, and I'm certainly not a legal expert myself, it is completely logical that the process of a non-citizen being granted citizenship, would be a privilege bestowed by the government. The government does set the criteria in which the non-citizen would have to meet, before citizenship is...

Likewise, I'm sorry to hear that as well. I think there's been a few people that got their applications in after me that have already received their citizenship certificates. I just concern myself only with my process. I can't do anything about the others.
