We sent off our passports to Paris for our visa's and landing documents - how long does it take to get the passports back. We are in Canada and will do a flag-pole landing. Thanks. M

Well I think we (sponsorship of my parents) may have broken the record. We started the process in October of 2007 and finally, 2 weeks ago, we sent off the passports to the Embassy in Paris and anxiously awaiting their return.

The payment was made on-line on 8/13 and we called to confirm on 8/16. They were able to confirm that the payment was receivd and it took 5 weeks from that date to receive the notification to send the passports. M

We sent my parent's passports to Paris for their visa's - since they are already in Canada on their I94 (6 months) we are wondering how to proceed for the 'entry'/with their PR Visa's? Anybody? Thanks, M

From the time the on-line payment was made (Mississauga) and a copy to Paris it took 5 weeks to receive the request for the passports. If noting else required this should hopefully the end of the journey. Best of luck. M

Thanks everyone - Happy to inform you that we received the request for passports today from Paris!! So, on-line payment of the RFPR on 8/13 confirmation of payment w/Paris on 8/15 - Request for passports on 9/23. +/- 6 weeks. Very Happy.... 5 years later, I will finally be able to welcome my...

Yes a copy was sent to Paris - so that would be 5 weeks ago. I understood the next step to be the request for passports. Is that correct?

Greetings, Received request for right of permanent resident to be paid. We paid the fees on 8/13 and waiting (hopefully) for the request for passports, what is your experience in terms of timeline between the payement and request for passports?
