@harnit2010 - Some advice for you based on my experience of waiting... Its in your head. Oath ceremonies only have a certain amount that can be allowed at one time, based on the location etc. Hence, they need to find one to fit you into. Be patient. Your time will come :)

Got the oath invite for the 2nd December!

@Christine32: Your son does not have to take the oath, but must be there to officially receive his citizenship certificate.

@pardesifr: I suspect you will get your OATH invite between now and end of November. It has to be so...

Congrats Christine32! To my own utter surprise, I have this morning received the online invitation for my own oath ceremony to be held on the 2nd December! Montreal office(Test taken in Quebec city) Application rcvd 19th Feb Processing started 7th May Test 31st August Oath will be 2nd December

@Qq: I did the test on the 31st August and I don't have the oath date yet. Test was in Quebec city...

Personally, took the test at the end of August. Application sent first week of February. Anyone still waiting?

Thanks. One more thing... Was your application a 'normal' one or was it urgent processing? Just curious since your oath date is actually very soon compared to when you got the notification! @Maverick2k4

@Maverick2k4 - do you mind sharing the date of your test? I applied 3 days before and did passed my test on the 31st August...

At the time the application was sent, she should have attached a basic short note to specify that the passport is expired and why it has not been renewed. This tells the officer processing the application that you are aware of this and it was not an oversight on your part. That is basic stuff...

Nice! I imagine your's was an 'urgent processing' application? Its the only way I can explain the incredible turn around time for taking the test to oath taking day... Could you shed some light?

@Christine32- Sorry to jump in. You do NOT need to bring the residency calculator. During my test/interview, I did not bring it nor was it asked for. Simply take along the main docs that you know you should have, i.e PR card, ID docs, All passports, Landing doc etc. I was unable to retrieve...

It depends... Mine has taken 2weeks at the office to issue, so calculating delivery and sending the passport back to you... 4weeks... so send it asap!!! before the mad christmas rush!
