Hi curt_cobain, the consultation with the lawyer didn't help that much. Mostly the stuff I knew. I'm going to have to maintain my legal status. My first try would be to try to get my work permit extended, the next plan would be switching to study permit, and my final backup plan is visitor visa.

I have done it a few times. No document is required just the main form. I think the only thing you put in that form that has to do with your residency in Canada is your address. That's it.

Anybody knows why my CAIPS notes does not mention anything about transfer to CPP-O? Do you guys have updated status in your CAIPS notes regarding the transfer? I'm started to suspect that they have lost my paper files altogether and that's why they don't confirm any mailed packages or emails.

I did my medicals in May and they haven't updated my ecase either! In my last communication with my MP they told her that they requested a document in May and everything else is in order! I have sent them the PC they requested twice since May! They never acknowledged that!!

Thanks Willem. But I'm not sure what will happen when my permit expires. I will have to leave the country and don't know what's going to happen to my file when Im not in Canada anymore.

I just realized something. If I don't get my PR before the end of my work permit expiry, I can't even get it! One of the requirements was that my work permit was valid at the time of application and when the PR visa is issued. Basically, I'm skrewed!!! 28 months of wait for nothing!
