I applied for GCMS notes and the latest note just says the Police Certificates were received on 5th April 2023, and 'PAPER FILE LOCATION MOVED TO : PGP FOR VO REVIEW'. nothing after that. does anyone know what that means?

I've had that status for months now. what does it say under background check?

police certificates requested, submitted and already expired but the Background Check status still says: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check. is it normal for the background check to not have started even after PCC has been requested?

they asked for a police certificate from UAE for my parents. it's only valid for 3 months. already expired.

It's usually valid till when the medical expires, which is 1 year from the date of medical done.

Vancouver was always slow but it seems like even Mississauga has dried out.

Congratulations on getting married. Short answer would be yes, you'd have to update CIC. Long answer would have to come from someone who's been through the same thing before.

38 months is the average time. so if you see cases getting done in 12 months this means there are also extreme cases taking 64 months. I like to imagine every few weeks they replenish the coffee at their offices, and staff get a sudden boost of energy where they push out of batch of cases. Then...

for those who have stated the medical has been passed, how do you know that it has passed? Do you get a letter or acknowledged from somewhere?
