The answer may sound discouraging to you. The January 2014 applicants are still waiting for their test dates, so it could be over half a year. Hopefully it's less than that! Cheers

If you see the timelines of those applications, which can now be access online, you will realize that they were all received on Jan 2. Patient my friend, we are definitely in the queue. Cheers!

Hi folks, I just got the AOR today for the parents sponsorship application, which resumed at the beginning of this year. My application got received on Jan 9th. The AOR was sent from 'CIC-Email-Communications-CPCM (CPCM-EXTCOM@cic.gc.ca)', and it stated my application had been accepted as one...

And if your application was received on the 7th and you haven't heard anything since then, that can be a good indication that your application is accepted. Good luck!

That's right! You just need to tell them your UCI number.

CIC wouldn't be worried about certified cheques and money orders, as they are guaranteed funds. They will probably deposit all of them together. If you really want to check on your applications, you can call CIC help desk and ask for the notes on your file regarding the sponsorship application...
