I can't believe they are charging without looking at the cap, since then they would have charged many others and also charge those from July that got their application back. Also when they return the application they return the fees, so they have to issue their own BD (which is more expansive...

This is great news. This make the CIC process a greater mystery, how come few people from July 8th onward got their application back due to quota reached and still people get their fees charges. Anyway, this really gives hope that what the CIC said about cap. reached on August 22 is not totally...

I don't really understand the CIC, some people from July 8th already got PER, some people with the same NOC got charged even after July 8th, so how come few people from July 8th got their documents back due to cap reached? Something is really strange here.

It is credible, this is an article published in a Canadian daily paper (The globe and mail) however the article did not say suspension. It did say they are going go limit and actually limiting is what they have done last years and especially this year. So probably next year will be an even...

This is all very strange, people get their files back due to cap. reached but other people in the same NOC in later dates, have their fees encashed. So it seems they just don't write the real reason for returning the file, just write cap full. It seems as they stopped using NER (only one got a...

Not true. He said they received 34,000 applications in the last fiscal year. He did not say they received 34,000 applications from July 2011 until now.

The idea of cap. reached was invented in this forum. It is not a fact! The fact that your colleague got this response shows that the theory of cap reached on beginning of july is false.

But on the other hand we have: jason123 1122 London 7/13/2011 8/24/2011 Shriji 1122 7/16/2011 7/21/2011 Mike 8/30/2011 dd and I think some more that are not on the table. So we can not, just yet determine that it's game over.

I don't understand why people in this forum are so pessimistic. Charging is not done by the CIC so they transfer the CC/BD to charge and that may take up to a month since the receiver general has other things to do.

It depends when your application reaches NS, currently it seems you will fall within the CAP.

There is no indication that you are late. I don't really follow the logic of some forum members saying that they are handling request of July 5th or 6th, I think they don't have a back log at all. Don't be so pessimistic.

I think there is one thing that people miss here. The actual billing of CC or BD is not done by CIC it is done by the Receiver general for Canada which resides in Quebec so when CIC states that an application is completed, it submits the BD or CC details to the Receiver general for actual...

I still don't see the reason to believe that you did not make it this year. Your application is there for more then 3 weeks so why do you think you missed the cap?

I think there is no correlation between billing and application passed eligibility test. billing is done by a different department and they have many other things to do, not only billing our fees so there is no connection. I also think there is no reason that the CIC is slowing down. So the fact...

According to what I read it this forum, there is no indication that the CIC has a huge backlog of application. Also there is no indication that they handle the request on first come first served basis, I have a feeling that the order is somewhat random. So I am more optimistic then many members...

Hello all, I have been a silent reader until now. I am more optimistic than most people here I think... I have sent my application on 1122 on July 24th and it arrived in Nova-Scotia on July 29th. It was sent by my immigration consultant so I have no idea who signed it from the CIC. You can...
