No i don't think so. They mainly just ask you to resubmit something you missed. Only way you can miss opportunity is if you were not eligible or don't meet those requirements. Missing something in the form is not a big deal, just try to call them and find out what exactly you're missing.

Check other emails such as for Sponsor or applicant or vice versa. For me they sent status update email seperately and then PDF letter in a different email where they explained why it was returned and what is needed. The corrected documents need to be sent by email rather than reupload on portal.

Waterloo. I did call IRCC, they said they see some movement on checks and told me to wait for a few weeks but I haven't heard nothing yet. Not sure if they were just saying it or actually noticed something. If I don't hear anything by next month, I will contact my MP.

Mine was received on 13 Oct 2017. Still nothing except AOR in 2017. Ordered GCMS, called helpline to nudge them. Nothing has worked so far. Kitchener office sucks :(

Yes I have. From what I could tell they were still waiting on security checks but those haven't changed in a while either. I think I'm gonna keep trying the call centre now and find someone who would send an email to the local office on my behalf. I'll try and see if an MP can help too.
