Waiting for Passport - Please add your case here

You don't need to write your application number on the envelope. CIC's instruction says "Please quote your application number on your correspondence and send the package to one of the following addresses:". Which means you need to mention application number on the covering letter. Having that...

PR Application rejected due to birth certificate

Ooops!! You should have submitted your application with an affidavit. Later in the process, VO will ask for another supporting document such as school certificate. They never accepted letter from Indian Consulate. Next time when you apply, get the affidavit. It's quick, easy and solid.

Is there any possibility of PR getting rejected after the passport request ?

PPR is sent after they find you eligible concerning your work experience, medical, security and criminality. It is highly unlikely to reject an application at this stage. BUT you never know anything for sure until you get your PP back with CoPR. So, ENJOY :)

I think you're pointing at me. I understand your pain buddy. But honestly you can't do anything but getting overwhelmingly impatient at this juncture unless you accept the fact that CIC may take more or less a year to throw in a decision. Which might as well sound rational if you think from...

    July 2012 PR Applications

Unreasonably slow??? I'd say CIC is efficient. They adhere to their timelines. They say 13/14 months to close 80% of the applications. Aren't we getting over enthusiastic here?

stripped down to underwear for medical exam?

This was just to check if you had any kind or surgery. My DMP asked me if I had any. Despite of saying none, he pulled up my shirt and checked stomach chest and back for any sign. This is usual and could have been worse if they thought a surgery on private parts is a risk ;)
