    I believe at the beginning of the year it did take around those many months but later on the wait time has increased to 6 months +.

    But will there brown paper get renewed? Cause at the moment my husband and daughter have federal appeal, later in case it gets refused. On what means they will be able to stay, that confuses me. My lawyer says they have strong reasons to take a stay motion down the line.

    Why is there a sudden spike in processing time, a little variation is ok but this is like double the time now?

    I think your application is being processed manually, cause my mom’s approval came in 3 weeks and stamped passport like in 4 days. All you can do is wait. One of my friends application also took like 2-3 months in Dubai.

    Don’t worry, if it’s a manual review, it takes that long, one of my friend got a response after 2-3 months and some have waited more. Every case is different, I understand your frustration, anyone would get tired of waiting but nothing can be done about it.
