Can a protected person apply for PR through PNP or Express Entry

You’re right that for someone who is still in the process of getting protected status, it’s not possible to apply through another immigration stream yet. But for someone who has already been granted protected person status, it may be possible. PR through the protected person pathway is...

Can a protected person apply for PR through PNP or Express Entry

According to the lawyer, if you can achieve the required score for any PNP or PTSQ program, you are eligible to apply. There is no conflict with your current protected person status — you simply need to withdraw your existing PR application before submitting a new one. Your protected status will...

Can a protected person apply for PR through PNP or Express Entry

You should provide proof of your personal opinion. I said that, according to my consultation with a lawyer, there are no restrictions as long as you don’t use your original passport. You can simply withdraw your PR application under the refugee program and submit a new one through another stream.

Honestly, I don’t know why. According to the GCMS notes, it should have been finished by late 2024, but it is still pending even now. For me, living in Quebec, it will still take about 18 more months, but for someone living in Ontario, it would already be done.

They announced that they want to introduce another bill to reduce the number of permanent residents accepted in Quebec — 35,000 next year, and 25,000 the year after. OMG, this will make the current 45-month delay even longer

Quebec protected person considering moving to another province after applying pr

Changing province is not a simple choice — it’s a life-altering sacrifice. The fact that anyone would suggest "just move to another province" like it's easy shows they don’t understand the real weight of your situation.

2023 PR Applications Timeline (Protected Persons & Refugees)

How can we start a petition against the 45-month delay in Quebec? There are 42,000 people who already have their CSQ, health card, and everything else, but are still stuck—just waiting—because of a political decision made by the irresponsible CAQ government.
