    When you say started the process, do you mean sending the demand letter? Did you have to take any steps beforehand? Like collecting GCMS / CBSA / CSIS notes? Or using webforms? I want to collect as much evidence as I can these couple of months to start my process soon.

    Nope, nothing since security started in April 2025. I see here some people whose security started 1 year before me and still stuck, so I am not optimistic :/

    to me this sounds like your comprehensive security check has just started last month, I don't know what they were doing for 1 year. I hope I'm wrong though

    I just received my notes: A34 Comprehensive check submitted to CBSA April 2025. Status is In Progress by CBSA since July 2025. Does anyone know what timeline I should expect? It has already been 1+ year since I submitted my application.

    From what I understand, this specific ADR + "Background verification status has been updated to In progress" indicate a comprehensive background check. See my timeline in my signature. Bonne chance :)

    Can be for other reasons. Nationality / education / work history / etc. No one knows the exact formula but it doesn't have to be exclusively military or government background.
