    You can apply for a skilled workers visa and in the mean time come to canada on a WHP. However if your skilled workers visa as not been approved after the whp year is over, you'll have to return to your country.

    As I understand it, it's not possible to extend your working holiday visa. I am in Canada with my working holiday visa as well, and would be very happy to learn that it can be extended.
