Just want to say, keep strong everyone! The process, while agonizing, can go quite fast! I nearly had a melt down, and then less than 10 days after that my husband was approved. It is torture while you're going through it, but once your spouse is approved and arrives in Canada, while there are...

    Mexico

If they're requesting it you need to give it. If they're requesting the FBI clearance, it's probably because they have done security checks and it has come under your husband's name that he was detained. Even though he was only there for a month, they probably need to make sure there's nothing else.

Returning after 3 years of absence

What's the point of the CBSA officer being such a pain, if there is no reason and RO are met? Why not just let someone in without hassling them and trying to freak them out?

You can add the newborn child to the current application. She will have to return the COPR and redo the forms with a cover letter explaining the birth of the child and that you're adding him/her as a dependent who is accompanying.

    anybody from dominican republic?

I know a few Dominicans who flew to Canada when landing first time as PR on Air Canada, so who I knows! I just know you can't fly charter first time so the only options directly into Canada are West Jet or Air Canada. I guess AC is hit and miss too! Don't give them your money!

    anybody from dominican republic?

Yeah maybe it was that Air Canada Rouge and they might consider that one a charter because it's supposed to be their "cheaper" plane. Majority of the time West Jet is cheaper and their customer service and flight staff are usually far more pleasant than the Air Canada people. Any time I've...

They must fly either West Jet or Air Canada their first flight over. It can't be a charter plane. If they fly an American airline they will have a stop over in the U.S., which they can't do u less they have a valid US visitor visa. So it limits it to Air Canada and West Jet, since the rest of...
