Have the same problem. I have 1yr 3mo of canadian exp and 9mos of foreign exp and want to combine the canadian and foreign exp (working remotely for canadian company outside of canada) to get points for 2nd year of work experience. Any luck figuring out the answer here?

Good luck! I already have 1 year of canadian experience. Just wondering if I can combine the additional 3mo of canadian experience I have with my 9months of "foreign experience" (travelling while working for canadian company and getting paid in canada).

Hmm I understand. In short, I can’t claim points for my second year of experience unless I get 3 more months of foreign experience or 9 more months of canadian experience.

Ahh gotcha. Did you end up getting your PR? Wishing you the best of luck. Is this true even for claiming it for points towards your second year of experience?

Thank you! I also have 1yr 3mo canadian experience. Can I use the extra 3mo of Canadian experience I have to make that + the 9mo count as foreign experience? Or do I just get points only for my first year of experience?
