I sent my biometrics more than two months ago and no answer?

Everyone's timeline is different and any potential issues with biometrics would not delay the medical exam request. I received my medical request before they even requested my biometrics. So I would not worry too much about any differences between your husband and your sister's husband -- they...

    February 2024 Inland Spousal Sponsorship

Wow -- looks like February 7th was a lucky day to submit! I've been trying to not get too excited because I know the background check is where most people get stuck for months. But I am very happy with how quickly all of the other steps are going. From what I've read about the pre-arrival...

    February 2024 Inland Spousal Sponsorship

Why are you submitting your driver's license? It isn't a required part of the application unless you are using it as proof of cohabitation, and if you are using it for that, it would be much better to include a document that reflects your current address.

Need advice for inland spousal sponsorship red flags - out of status & elopement

Thanks so much! Keeping my fingers crossed for a quick and smooth application process for myself, and looking forward to [hopefully] finally becoming legal here again shortly. It's been bad enough dealing with the accident + injuries -- mixing in being out of status in a foreign country has made...

Need advice for inland spousal sponsorship red flags - out of status & elopement

Thank you! Yes, correct - have not been working here. I have been taking online courses through a U.S. university. I read somewhere that IRCC sees it as a red flag if a couple does not submit a photo of them kissing at their wedding -- I thought it was weird when I read it, but if that's what...

Need advice for inland spousal sponsorship red flags - out of status & elopement

Thanks for your response! To answer your questions: I am a US citizen and my parents are both US citizens; they just do not have passports, which is why they cannot come into Canada.
