No changes or updates yet. OCI site shows "UNDER-PROCESS" and BLS shows "Processing at High Commission".

Yeah. I will try to raise a query to HCI Ottawa if they can assist. But from what I saw in this thread is many of the people got their OCI within a matter of few weeks. Fingers crossed. Will share the update.

Most definitely not a troll post :) The only major doubt is after getting an Indian Passport will the child get a Canada Visa or not. Canada might say that by virtue of birth the child is a Canadian citizen and then may not grant a visa (to it's citizen). That was the primary query.

The only problem that comes with an OCI card is the expense to give primary education in India. Usually the tuition fees would be 2x-3x or more for a OCI. If the child stays in Canada for just 3-4 years, is it really necessary to get a Canadian Passport for that timespan or an Indian passport...

Yeah, but isn't she Indian as well due to her parents being Indian (citizen by descent)? And if no visa required, can't she just use Indian Passport as travel document and Canadian birth certificate as identity/citizen proof?

If that's true, then why is there a problem getting a Canadian Visa for an Indian Passport holder? An Indian visa is possible on Canadian Passport but a Canada Visa is not possible on an Indian Passport holder? Sorry, I may not be fully knowledgeable on this but I just want to clear my doubt.
