Definitely need to be in Canada for the oath ceremony! Doesn’t matter if it’s online or in person. So good thing you got that figured out! Also, the citizenship certificate will be mailed to your address and you can only apply for the passport once you received it. Takes 1-2 weeks after the oath...

You should definitelty double check this, but as far as I know you need to be in Canada to take the online test and for the citizenship ceremony. Also, I have heard of people getting checked more when they spend more time out of the country while they were on PR status, and applying for citizenship.

You only get the certificate on the same day if you do in person ceremony I believe. In all other cases, it takes a few days. From what I saw on the tracker, 10 days seems like the max time you’d have to wait so hopefully it’ll come through soon!

Did you guys receive any receipt or estimated date for the passport pickup when you went in person? When I went they told me to come back in exactly two weeks and gave me a receipt with the pick up date printed on it
