Did you get any info on the paper application? I have also applied for the extension due to passport expiry on paper but have not gotten any response. I know that IRCC is on strike right now. Should I wait until May 15th for opt in since the approval date is from the date the application gets...

You should be able to link your application in 2 weeks from now.

ANyone received the 18 months extension email from IRCC while their application was submited via paper route. is anyone planning to applying for the 18 months extension or wait until they get their decision for the paper application.

No, you only need to photocopy your new passport and stamps if any. if you did not get any stamp while entering Canada it is ok. These days stamps are done on the Customs form itself which you print out at the airport.

No updates yet. But hopeful considering the 28 processing time.

I was able to link the application after 35 days. Hopefully next one month should be approved.
