It usually takes a few days. 3/4 days. But they might have an increased volume of submitted forms so that might be delaying them.. or you’re not eligible.

Oh no, I will get the work permit at port of entry. I’m in the States so I can easily just do that and get the work permit on the same day

it is hard to tell how they’re processing. I, for example, am outside of Canada and received the nomination certificate before people who are in Canada and applied before me. I don’t think there’s a specific pattern. What helps tho is if your application is 1000% complete with all the details...

I had a question after I received the nomination, and I replied to the officer that sent me the email. He replied right away.

I don’t think they contacted my employer. The status went from submitted to certificate issued
