    US outland applicants' thread :)

Well, the car wasn't allowed to enter Canada. Not even temporarily while we wait for the title fiasco to be sorted out. And because my husbands car is pulling a UHAUL trailer full of his belongings, we had no choice but to go back to the US and figure something out. Still not sure what that...

    US outland applicants' thread :)

Thanks for the reply, Bargeld. The link you provided was a little helpful. I did read through the CBSA website but couldn't find the info I was looking for. I've been given mis-information from CBSA before, and when I called regarding this matter last week they didn't really have a solid...

    US outland applicants' thread :)

I'm really really hoping someone can shed some light on a sticky situation that my husband and I are in. Husband landed as a PR in Dec but returned to the US to tie loose ends. He paid his car off more than a month ago, but has yet to receive the car title from the DMV in California (car was...

I'm getting anxious to get my husband moved up here. I'm flying down to Arizona at the end of March and then we're packing up and driving back up with...

I would go back and try again. If they still refuse you a SIN card, I guess you'll have to wait. You should be receiving your card by the end of the month.

Los Angeles Visa Office Applicants Check in here! :)

Husband landed on December 30th. The Sweetgrass Montana/Alberta border was dead, we were on our way in 20 minutes. He flew back to Tucson yesterday, though. We didn't have the time or finance to move him here in the 3 weeks he had to land.

Husband landed yesterday! It was a loooooooooong drive from Tucson, Arizona (28 hours). We crossed in Sweetgrass at Montana/Alberta. It was super easy, it took less than 20 minutes, although he was just doing the landing, the actual move happens in March so there was no car importing or b4...

COPR arrived today. Husband has to land by Jan 9/13. I have to leave the US by the end of January, so we'll be driving back to Canada a little prematurely... but so excited it's almost over! And not to worry, I'll still frequent this thread until each and every one of you is pink! ;D

    Worrying about a stupid mistake

Don't stress about it too much. I made SO many stupid mistakes, which have eatten me alive since I submitted the app in April. My husband was just issued his visa, so all those stupid mistakes weren't a problem after all. We are human, mistakes are bound to happen. This is a stressful process...

Another B4 question thread. Please help!

I'm beginning to put together the B4 forms for my husband who will be landing in January. He will be crossing the border just to land and then returning to the US to finish up work for a few months. Here are my questions: 1. How specific do you have to be? For instance, is it necessary to...

Since Canada is officially bilingual, start learning French now!

It definitely depends on where in Canada you'll be living. Born and raised in Alberta, the last time I spoke French was learning it in elementary school. I know more spanish, mandarin and tagalog phrases than I do french!
