Yes, i believe this maybe possible, you can start working once it is approved.. but it is not what people generally do, since the question then is how will you do business activities if you have to pause in the middle. They may question you later on. Best is to check with an immigration lawyer...

Thats odd, should not normally begin from the pass request date. Quite unfair. On your other query: Police check and ielts are not generally required for WP, they issued me WP without these. That is only for your PR application. LOS and proof of funds is required in the WP application.

I received the approval prior to May 18th 2023, hence am not aware about this. Although my start up did have funds to invest as well, hence possibly had been included in my application. I think it is a valid question, as to how you will invest in growing the business once in Canada.

Currently, it takes 5 months to get approved, hope it reduces :( and you will have to stay in Canada to keep your maintained status. Its quite a pain. Please submit your progress report with your extension application to avoid any unnecessary ADR's, which will lengthen the time taken.

I dont think that will be possible, but you can check with a immigration consultant if an indirect process is possible. The spouse's WP is dependent on the primary applicant. So he will have to find a way to get a WP as a primary applicant.
