    Certified Translations

Thank you for your input. I think I was overcomplicating things with the notary. As you say, affidavit is also not needed as the translators are official government sanctioned workers that provide all the certification required. I will submit as per your experience! Gracias!

Taking a taxi from the Pearson airport with 2 little kids. Advise needed.

Uber or taxi. The problem with the UP is that you'll end up at Union Station with 2 kids, strollers, cases etc and STILL have to get to where you want to go, unless you live in the station. Taxi downtown will cost you 50 dollars, give or take a few bucks.

Just to follow up on this, I have spoken to Scotiabank directly and they confirm that a new bank account can be opened with a passport and mailing address in Canada (friend or family address as obviously I won't have one yet). I will confirm in June when it's done!

Which banks will allow me to open a bank account as a visitor?

Thanks, I have actually emailed CIBC and TD today. No problem with declaring the cash, it has all come from my salary and is easily proven. If for some strange reason it isn't possible to do this in Canada, then I'll just take the cash to the US and do it there. I'll update the thread when...

My sister-in-law did this with her dog in August 2021, UK to Canada. You don't need an external provider, you can book this service directly with the airline. She used Air Canada. The fees and procedures are shown on their website. You essentially book your flight tickets, call up the call...
