    Triage/effective presence: Understanding GCMS notes

I think all the steps should be in my profile or earlier posts. Applied May 2021, nothing really moved till 2 years later.

    Triage/effective presence: Understanding GCMS notes

Hi, no idea what it all means (there are probably some good threads here), but I got my citizenship in July. Good luck with everything :)

Anyone from Montreal got online test invite and/or oath ceremony

Just had my ceremony yesterday. Same -- 2 weeks. The officer said if I didn't pick it up, it would be sent in the mail right away and should only take around 3 business days, since I live in Montreal.

Anyone from Montreal got online test invite and/or oath ceremony

Hi all, can anyone confirm whether or not the Montreal office is offering e-certificates, and if so when you got the invitation to get the e-certificate? (I applied May 2021, for what it's worth.) Alternatively, can anyone share their experiences with getting their physical certificate (in...

Thank you, this is very clear!

    Air travel after oath

I won't have a return date to the US, though. That always gets flagged. I've always had to go check manually in for my return flights to Canada and 99% of the time the airline attendant asks me about visa/PR/citizenship status.

    May 2021 - Citizenship Applications

Oath updated in the tracker! This American will become a citizen on July 4, ironically enough. Thanks for all your help, fellow May '21-ers, and good luck to those of you who are still waiting!

    Air travel after oath

I've received my invitation to take the oath on July 4 (a bit ironic, as I'm American!) but will be going to visit the US soon after from July 12-30. I assume I'll be able to get an e-certificate of citizenship and re-enter using my US passport, but I want to make sure all my bases are covered...

    May 2021 - Citizenship Applications

ecas was just updated to "decision made" sometime in the past few days. LPP are still "in progress" on the tracker. Does anyone know what this means?

2021 citizenship still waiting- let's gather here

Yeah, I think everyone got most of these ghost updates. Something about updating the system. My last one dates back to early March. Nothing in June, though, so maybe that's a good sign for you!

2021 citizenship still waiting- let's gather here

Keep me posted on how the mandamus works. Meanwhile, I'm super tempted to organize a protest outside of the Montreal headquarters. Not like it'll ever happen but I can fantasize

    May 2021 - Citizenship Applications

I wrote to my MP again and got this automated response: "N.B. : We are aware of delays in processing immigration applications with IRCC. We advise you that currently, the waiting time is at least 30 days to receive an update. We will do our utmost to action urgent cases in a timely manner."...

2021 citizenship still waiting- let's gather here

I wrote to my MP again and saw the following in the automated response: "N.B. : We are aware of delays in processing immigration applications with IRCC. We advise you that currently, the waiting time is at least 30 days to receive an update. We will do our utmost to action urgent cases in a...

What Are My Rights When My Citizenship Application is Delayed?

There must be a way to see when a given spreadsheet was updated last. Or we could manually look at a couple of threads and verify if people who have recently taken the oath have had their entries updated. And go from there

What Are My Rights When My Citizenship Application is Delayed?

If I remember correctly, 40% of 2020 applications in the spreadsheets still aren't completed. Same for 2022. I will look by quarter of submission, though. Anecdotally speaking as a May 2021 applicant myself who can see no reasonable sign for delay in my case notes... you're possibly being a bit...

What Are My Rights When My Citizenship Application is Delayed?

I was actually mistaken, the "Location" field is where the applicant is living. So we don't even have the processing centre as information. We don't have online vs. paper in the spreadsheet. As is, in the data that I'm keeping right now, the _most_ nominative information is date of application...

What Are My Rights When My Citizenship Application is Delayed?

I do actually have 2019 (and could go back as far as the spreadsheets exists) and 2023. Here's a graph of milestone by year with the two included, for some of the milestones I judged as more important. Caution for 2023, especially for submission to oath, cause only 6 applicants have taken the...

Has anybody tried to generate processing times histogram?

Looking at it year by year paints a better picture. Better labeling this time, and the density plot looks prettier! (Again, this obviously excludes outstanding applications)

Has anybody tried to generate processing times histogram?

This is just an example for 2021, by quarter (Jan - Apr, etc.) for when the application was sent in. Note that this information is present for only 41% of the applicants. (In a previous version, I forgot to exclude empty rows when calculating this)

Has anybody tried to generate processing times histogram?

Are you just talking about "App sent" to "Oath ceremony"? I could take a look. Should be easy enough
