I don't believe so! From what I understand, they may contact if it's genuinely hard for them to verify the company or place you work for, or if there's some doubt about an applicant's details and experience. As long as there's no misrepresentation, then nothing to worry about!

Woah congrats!! Yeah found this really strange too. Submitted my passport along with the email/letter as per their instructions at VFS today and they had no issues and are familiar with this. My portal hasn't changed either... Should all be fine!

Haha In fact I called VFS London today and the automated response was 6 weeks max. Luckily I only need to submit a photocopy of my passport and not the original so no issues travelling. I'll report back on timing!

My status still shows "We are processing your Background check..." even though I got PR approval. It's possible your profile status can stay the same throughout the application until COPR is issued. I'm sure others can confirm if it changes!

From the email my visa office was Ottawa.

RVF means "Ready for Visa". They will send you full instructions on submitting your Passport etc. for COPR Possible you will receive yours soon!

Turns out my application was approved as I received the RVF email today. Expect to hear good news I think!

Thank you!!! I checked every single day (sometimes twice a day). 'Ghost updates' were as follows: GU1: Medicals passed and BIL request (email). At this stage, the Background check said the usual line "We cannot process your background check until you have completed the Biometrics" I did this...

Received the ready for visa email just now!!! Can't believe it!!

Ghost update today - "Application / Profile Updated" Checked but no changes in my profile - jumped and got excited for a second but nothing haha
