Hello everyone, I am helping someone file citizenship application. They haven't filed their 2023 taxes to date. They are in a rush to apply for citizenship and won't be filing the taxes before 31st March 2024. Can they submit citizenship application right now without filing 2023 taxes?

you should call IRCC helpline early morning.. you'll have to wait for 30-50 minutes, but someone will definitely respond you.

UPDATE: the cards were dispatched on 13th and 15th December and were received in mail on 21st December.

nice.. which land border did you cross? one of my friend's husband also entered via NGF border with expired PR card and he has lived in Canada for only 2 months. The border officials asked similar questions and he entered without any problems.

can't say.. but the good news is my aunt's application got approved today and the PR has been mailed by them.

Renewal application sent by mail: 7th November 2023 AOR received: 12th December 2023

no not my parents. i am asking for my maternal aunt and uncle. my parents do not meet RO and will wait for 2 years before they apply for a new one.

my relatives sent application on 7th november.. they are worried because they haven't received AOR. have you tried calling them again and asked the reason for delay? they might have put your application for secondary review.

i dont know the exact time out of the country, but i am sure that it is not more 90 days in last 3 years.

Still they haven't received AOR. They called IRCC call center last week and were informed that currently 10th November received applications are being processed.

my mother was on wheelchair, so the airport staff near CBSA counter, told me and my parents to exit without meeting CBSA staff after generating slip from kiosk. after arriving my parents also made multiple trips to USA by land border, and the CBSA officer didn't asked any questions.

have you travelled to US by air?

Parents travelled by air to Chicago for 4/5 days in 2019 and came back on lost passport. Can't recall exact dates. Will CBSA travel history report show the exit dates?
