PRTD - Processed Passport has been dispatched from Visa office to VAC

Hey sorry I can't remember, and don't have exact drop off / pick up dates written down. But I'm pretty sure it was between 2 and 3 weeks (definitely not under 2 weeks - 10 working days). Good luck!

    PR Card Renewal outside Canada

We applied for new PR cards while visiting Canada for a month last year. I included a covering letter detailing our situation. The new PR card application was successful, but they sent the cards to a visa office in Canada for pick up - has to be the PRs, not a family member, the sponsor, etc...

VSF offices - holidays / offices closed

Hi. Any idea if VSF offices in foreign countries would be closed on Canadian national holidays? Like the embassies in foreign counties? Or would staff at VSF have same holidays as the countries they are in? I hace to travel to one tomorrow and presume it'd be open, despite being a national...

    PRTD - Two questions

We went to VFS office but documents refused. I had to make a few corrections, then need to go back. They didn't mention anything about the photocopies of expired passports. The CIC webpage says photocopies of expired passports. The email from Immigration office in Mexico City seems to suggest...

Two questions for you all: 1. Do we need to send in original previous / expired passports, or copies? I thought it was copies but I received an email from the immigration office in Mexico City that says: "Your original passport (including previous, expired passports); 2. Is it possible to...

    GUATEMALA VISA OFICE

Anyone have any experience? Their number is neither toll free (as stated on the website) nor is there an option to speak to anyone. The chat doesn't seem to work. They do not appear to respond to emails (not the Guatemala office).

I am in Guatemala. The closest Visa Center is in Mexico City. I need to send in a PRTD application for my wife and kids - I'm a Canadian citizen. eTA - PR with expired card

Hmmmm .... consensus seems to be that eTA is VERY unlikely. Man they've made this a difficult and expensive process. Wished I'd have waited to apply for the PR until I knew we'd be staying in Canada for awhile. Any other advice please let me know. Thanks!

eTA - PR with expired card

Flying into Calgary - the tickets are already bought. Flying into the US and crossing border by land is not an easy option out in the prairies. The PRTD (with processing charges, photos, courier fees, etc) will be more than $500 CAD for the three of them. I tried calling Aeromexico to see if...

I'm a Canadian citizen. My partner and kids have Canadian PR status. Their cards expired last fall. We applied for new cards, but they were not mailed out to my family's address in Canada. We have to pick them up in person. However, we are living in Central America. Getting a PRTD is a bit...

PR Card due to expire in 2017 - wife and kids haven't fulfilled PR Obligations

Ok thanks all. Very helpful! I presume the family could still travel to Canada for a visit before their PR cards expire, without the need of the PRTD. I imagine I'd have to explain the situation at the airport's immigration, as I did last time, but I'm ok with that.
