Yeah, that was the status from passport seva portal. I emailed consulate last night and now it is changed to "Surrender certificate has been printed" in the passport seva portal.

Thats fast. I submitted on March 9 (BLS Toronto) ,still it says "Surrender certificate is under review at Indian Embassy/Consulate"

I went to BLS Toronto for passport surrender on March 9. I waited 1.5-2 hrs there. I also got the "mandatory" passport cover :) Status is still "Surrender certificate is under review at Indian Embassy/Consulate".

Yeah, I have seen the front security sending people back in BLS Toronto around noon because they didn't have any appointments.

I clicked from outside. They didn't make any issues with it.

I had the date/studio stamp on the back of the photo. But since it was pasted, I don't think they have checked it. My recent Canadian passport had same photo. I carried additional copies of form as well considering the past experiences of forumers here.

For surrender done last week, I used one photo(pasted on the printed application). I also carried additional photo in case if they ask. But they didn't ask. One pasted on it was enough.

May be its better to call them and check on this. Not sure if you called them already

Mostly within 4 weeks, it should move to next step.

It changed to in progress for me when oath date got updated in the tracker.

I didn't receive the Oath email yet. So, not sure at the moment.

Not anymore. Its very slow in the past 2 months

No update after test marked to complete by Nov 14. But mine is with Scarborough office.

Looks like some system glitch. I am facing the same issue.
