I just went on the Ontario gov. website and requested a replacement birth certificate. I paid for express service and had it in 3 days. Here is the link for ON https://www.ontario.ca/page/get-or-replace-ontario-birth-certificate As I recall, you have the option to get the long or short form.

They told us to wait a couple of weeks and if the local office does not contact us to let the office of the MP know. I think if that fails, and we still don't get the call for pick up, we will have to line up a few days before we travel to request an emergency passport. I will post an update...

There are different processing times for renewals vs new passports. I think the renewals come much faster. I applied for a new passport on April 12, and still waiting.

My timeline is the same as yours but as of last week was still in review. Received in Gatineau on April 12. CC charged May 10. Was yours a new passport or a renewal?
