wow, congrats!!! Atleast they called you so quick to confirm the file transfer. I called mine to get it transferred to North York on June 10th, still didn't hear anything from them. My travel date is on June 26th :(

That will be your back plan just in case they don't find your file. I've read from other experiences that they were called in that their file was transferred successfully but they were not properly scanned especially the photos, so they have to come back and get it done.

No, but I have to apply for a new one since I changed my name. They said it's okay since they know that I have mailed out my original docs. But, I will be bringing my photo copies of everything (citizenship, old canadian passport, marriage cert, legal name change and other IDs.)
